Dhe described with 93 confessed murders by the FBI as the worst serial killer in the United States Samuel Little is dead. He died on Wednesday morning (local time) at the age of 80 in a hospital, according to the California prison authorities. Little had recently served three life sentences without parole in a West Coast state detention center. The cause of death was initially unknown.
According to the FBI, the man was first caught for drug offenses in 2012. Investigators then used DNA traces to establish the connection to three murder cases: The women were strangled in the Los Angeles area between 1987 and 1989. In 2014 Little was sentenced to three life imprisonment for this.
In 2013, the Los Angeles Police Department passed information to a division of the Federal FBI that specializes in investigating serial violence. Their investigation found a pattern that Little linked to a number of other murders.
The website of the FBI published in October 2019, which provides detailed information about some of Little’s crimes between 1970 and 2005, is entitled “Confessions of a Killer”. The majority of his victims were women. Drawings of confirmed and alleged victims can be seen. According to a report in the Washington Post, Little is said to have committed murders in 19 states. Almost half of his victims have therefore not yet been identified. Little’s death could now set these efforts back further, the newspaper wrote on.
