By stating that “order will be put in place,” the president Andrés Manuel López Obrador He advanced that he prepares an radministrative form so that autonomous organizations, such as the IFT, INAI, SIP INNA, become part of secretariats and agencies of the federal government.
In a press conference, the head of the federal Executive explained that next Monday he will have a meeting with his cabinet to present his plan and after that, present the necessary legal reforms and start the debate.
The president pointed out that with this reform, up to 20 billion pesos could be saved, which could be channeled to the purchase of more vaccines against Covid-19.

“I have a cabinet meeting on Monday, because I am going to present the proposal so that each secretariat can draw up a plan and, once we have everything, we can present the legal reforms and have a debate as it was with the trusts.
“We are going to carry out this administrative reform and we are going to adjust the government to the new reality, and not to continue creating these institutions, these bureaucratic apparatuses.
“Just as these trusts and funds were created left and right to handle public money in a discretionary manner that money, without being audited that money -even with corruption- so autonomous bodies were also created, in quotation marks, by Executive agreements such as By law, then we have to review all these organizations so that there is no duplication, because we have to save, be efficient, not have so many devices that consume budget or that the budget remains in the same government and is not transferred to the people.

“Then yes we go, I anticipate it, to put order. Because we are going to save 10, 15 thousand, 20 billion that we will save with this, because it is the vaccine or half of what the vaccine costs, “he said.
In the National Palace, President López Obrador stated that the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) pass to the Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT), that the DIF assume the tasks of the Executive Secretariat of the National System for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (SIPINNA) and that the INAI be absorbed by the Ministry of Public Function (SFP) or by the Superior Auditor of the Federation (ASF) or the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office.
“We are going to review the case, for example, the SIPINNA, it depends on the Government, which is for the defense of girls, adolescents, but at the same time there is the DIF, so could the DIF not take care of that? (…) The IFT, what cannot belong to Communications? did it before Communications and what the IFT when it was created to date has done a good job? In other words, this work could not be done by the SCT?
“The other is that of Transparency (INAI), what cannot that function pass to the Ministry of Public Administration or the Superior Audit of the Federation? Or the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office? Why autonomous? ”, He added.
He assured that this proposal does not seek to dismiss the workers of these organizations, but that in their case they could be relocated.
