Watch out! Alert for temperatures of up to 1 degree in seven mayors of the CDMX

The low temperatures in the Mexico City will continue these first days of the year so the Orange alert in seven city halls of the capital.

According to the Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) this Saturday, January 2, between 1 and 3 degrees of temperature are forecast.

The demarcations that will register these low temperatures In a schedule between 05:00 and 08:00 hours are: Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta, Tláhuac, Tlalpan and Xochimilco.

However, frosts are also expected in six other municipalities where temperatures between 4 and 6 degrees are expected in the same period.

Said demarcations where the Yellow Alert They are: Azcapotzalco, Coyoacán, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa and Miguel Hidalgo.


Before the continuation of the cold in the Mexico City, the SGIRPC recommended to the population living in these municipalities to drink plenty of water and eat fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins A and C.

It was also advised to use a cream to keep the skin hydrated and protect it from the cold; avoid sudden changes in temperature and wear at least three layers of clothing, preferably cotton or wool.

Something essential is to cover the nose and mouth, to avoid direct exposure to environmental pollutants.

In case of using heaters or fireplaces, it is recommended to maintain adequate ventilation.
