The New York Stock Exchange rose on Wednesday minutes after the opening, before the announcement of a millionaire infrastructure plan by President Joe Biden.

By 2:50 p.m. GMT, the main Dow Jones Industrial Average index was up 0.08% to 33,093.71 points.

The Nasdaq technology rose 1.20% to 13,201.68 units. And the S&P 500 was up 0.42% at 3,975.16.

The relative good health of the market “suggests that some of the data on infrastructure has already been integrated” into prices “since the plan includes an increase in tax on companies from 21% to 28% and an increase in taxes on income in the outside, which is not normally a positive for the stock market, “explained Briefing’s Patrick O’Hare.

Biden will propose on Wednesday to invest some 2 billion dollars in infrastructure with the aim of creating jobs and launching a plan that he wants to make the emblem of his administration.
