The New York Stock Exchange finished in positive territory on Friday with records for the Dow Jones and the S&P 500, and the three main indices closing their weekly balance higher.
The main Dow Jones index gained 0.89% to 33,800.60 points.
Meanwhile, the Nasdaq technology increased 0.51% to 13,900.19 units and the S&P 500 registered its fourth weekly record, with an increase of 0.77% to 4,128.80 points.
In the week, the three indices gained ground: the Dow Jones 1.95%, the Nasdaq 3.11% and the S&P 500 2.67%.
The market seems to trust the message of the chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, and other members of the Fed, who affirm that the reactivation is still “far from complete” and that if there is more inflation, it will only be temporary.
The market seems “convinced that the Fed will not change its course for a long time,” said Joe Manimbo of Western Union.
