Volkswagen offers a first look at its new sports coupe SUV, which will be launched later this year. With the Taigo, the brand incorporates a sports crossover model to the Volkswagen SUV range, in the segment of small vehicles.
The new model offers a design that we will see more and more in other brands, with a new operating concept and a multitude of assistance systems. The Taigo is the newest addition to Volkswagen’s SUV range, in the small vehicle segment. The new model also comes with a multitude of state-of-the-art connectivity and assistance systems.
It joins the growing CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) segment that combines elevated seating positions with a sporty coupe silhouette. The new Taigo will be launched with efficient TSI engines, standard LED headlights, a modern operating concept, a fully digitized interior and a multitude of assistance systems.
The Taigo is based on the successful Nivus model from Brazil, and will be manufactured for the European market in Pamplona, Spain. The new CUV will debut this summer and will be launched in late 2021.
