MEXICO CITY.
Elements of the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City rescued a girl, who was probably the victim of omission of care by her mother, of foreign origin.
At the request of an accredited embassy in Mexico, the National System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF) informed personnel of the Office of the Prosecutor for Investigation of Crimes Committed in Tort of Children and Adolescents to initiate the investigations, whenever the victim had a certain degree of malnutrition.
The field work made it possible to locate the mother and her daughter on Paseo de la Reforma avenue, Cuauhtémoc neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office, where they were approached by the agent of the Public Ministry, a social worker and elements of the Investigative Police (PDI).
Both were transferred to the facilities of the FGJCDMX, where the investigation folder for the probable commission of the crime of family violence is integrated, comprehensive care is provided to the underage person and the corresponding expert reports are carried out in order to determine the legal situation of both.
