Ciudad Juárez.- Given the forecast of a drop in temperature, the General Directorate of Civil Protection of the Municipality issues a yellow alert for tonight.
According to the specialized website for the weather report The Weather Channel, tomorrow Wednesday the thermometer will drop to minus four degrees Celsius and the maximum temperatures will be eight degrees.
Efrén Matamoros Barraza, head of the agency, said that it is necessary to take measures with the use of heaters such as
open a window between 10 to 12 centimeters, while the appliances are on, so that there is oxygen replacement, in addition to moving them away from windows and furniture to prevent fires, and turning them off before going to sleep.
Another recommendation due to the low temperatures is not to enter the house, boilers or water heaters, he pointed out.
In case of rain, Matamoros Barraza recommends avoiding driving through flooded streets, and not entering the overpasses, the Díaz Ordaz viaduct and the streams, especially the Jarudo, Mimbre and Las Víboras streams.
The General Directorate of Civil Protection asked citizens to report homeless people to 911, so that Public Security can transfer them to the temporary shelter located at Fire Station 8.
