The Secretariat for Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) activated Orange alert by forecast of strong wind in the districts of Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta, Tlalpan and Xochimilco.

Streaks of wind between 60 and 69 kilometers per hour (km / h) between 11:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on December 31, 2020 in the southern and western demarcations of the capital.

While the Yellow Alert remains active by forecast of gusts of wind in the demarcations of Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuauhtémoc, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztacalco, Iztapalapa, Miguel Hidalgo, Tláhuac and Venustiano Carranza.

Wind gusts of between 50 to 59 kilometers per hour (km / h) are expected between 11:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. December 31, 2020.

They recommended that the population save or remove objects from outside that could fall; do not climb scaffolding, roofs, or cornices; stay away from telephone and electricity poles.

It is also suggested to place companion animals in lower risk areas.
