The Minister of Territorial Development and Habitat, Jorge Ferraresi, together with the Secretary of Habitat, Santiago Maggiotti, and the Minister of Public Works, Gabriel Katopodis, signed agreements with five municipalities of the Buenos Aires suburbs for the construction of 4,300 homes, within the framework of the program Own House and the Housing Solidarity Fund.
The former mayor of Avellaneda, who assumed the portfolio in November to replace María Eugenia Bielsa, led the event in Hurlingham, in which the mayor of the district, Juan Zabaleta, and the mayors of San Martín, Fernando Moreira; de Merlo, Gustavo Menéndez; by José C. Paz, Mario Ishii; and from Ituzaingó, Alberto Descalzo.
“We came to do what President Alberto Fernández ordered us, which is to rebuild Argentina and value fundamental rights, such as access to housing,” Ferraresi said during the signing of the agreement for the construction of 600 homes in Hurlingham , 900 in José C. Paz, 1,450 in Merlo and 1,335 in San Martín.
In a second instance, each municipality will sign the relevant agreements with the Ministry of Territorial Development and Habitat for the execution of the works, as officially reported.
On the other hand, Ferraresi and Zabaleta also signed another commitment act, through the National Urban Land Plan, to ratify the financing of the generation of 301 lots, to which the municipality of Hurlingham will provide the networks of drinking water, electricity, pluvial, sewer, road and pedestrian, as well as complementary works.
