Second day of vaccination against Covid-19 will begin on December 28 in CDMX and Coahuila

The Health Secretary (Ssa) reported that the second day of vaccination against Covid-19 will start on December 28 at the Mexico City and Coahuila.

After receiving 42,900 new doses of the vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech, the Ssa explained that it will be until next Monday when it continues with its inoculation strategy.

“The application of the vaccines, in continuity with the start-up carried out on December 24 at the General Hospital of Mexico, will be from next December 28 in Mexico City and in Coahuila,” the Ssa reported in a technical sheet.

This morning, at 08:34 hours, 34,125 doses of the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine arrived at the International Airport of Mexico City “Benito Juárez”.

A second shipment arrived at 09:20 hours at the Monterrey “Mariano Escobedo” International Airport, in Nuevo León.

Although some of the vaccines were received in Monterrey, they will be applied in Coahuila.

This morning, after receiving the second batch of vaccines at the AICM, federal officials detailed that it will be the health sector that will release more details of the second day of vaccination immediately.

This Friday, Mexico reported one million 372 thousand confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and 121,837 deaths from the virus.
