Cruz Azul wants Sebastián Jurado to go to another team in which his ownership is guaranteed, to add experience
Although he was able to leave the team last winter, Jesús Corona has taken a new look at Cruz Azul and in recent days has advanced his contract renewal, largely thanks to the fact that he has completely gained the confidence of coach Juan Reynoso and, in this scenario, it is imminent that Sebastián Jurado will go out on loan this summer.
At the club there is confidence that Jurado is the goalkeeper of the future for the team, there is confidence in his qualities and professionalism, for which the intention of all parties is that he can go to another club where he is guaranteed ownership.
The option being considered is a loan with a very high purchase option, with the understanding that Cruz Azul -still in the stage of Guillermo Álvarez Cuevas- cost approximately 6 million dollars, in addition to the aforementioned regarding being considered the goalkeeper of the future for the club.
Until Day 13 of this Guard1anes 2021, ‘Chuy’ is the goalkeeper with the fewest goals with 7 goals in 12 games played, in addition to maintaining his fence undefeated in seven of those twelve games. Below him is Hugo González, from Rayados, with the same 7 goals conceded but in 11 games played.
What’s more, Corona has remained as captain of the ‘Machine’ in the Reynoso stage and as the main leader in the dressing room, which is why the coach is committed to its continuity, and even Corona himself declared prior to the match on Date 12 against Atlas that his renewal was on the right track and that he had already approached the executive president Álvaro Dávila and the sports director Jaime Ordiales to stay in the cement club.
The Peruvian strategist himself is the one who has promoted the fact that the 40-year-old goalkeeper remains in the team after June 30, the date his contract expires and just when Corona will turn twelve at the cement institution.
As if that were not enough, behind Corona there is a litter of goalkeepers in whom the club trusts as support: Andrés Gudiño, Jair Peláez and Guillermo Allison, whose loan with the Cancun FC of the Expansion League expires on June 30 and so far there has been no communication from this club regarding making the purchase option valid.
Meanwhile, Sebastián Jurado, 23, is focused on taking advantage of all the opportunities he receives, as happened in the previous Pre-Olympic with the injury of the holder Luis Ángel Malagón, in which he showed great strength to achieve the pass to the Olympic Games and the CONCACAF title, or on Date 9 of the MX League, when Reynoso gave him the opportunity for the rotation of the starting team and kept the goal at zero.
