President Andrés Manuel López Obrador welcomed Rosa Icela Rodriguez, head of the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), who joins to work in person because, since his appointment to replace Alfonso Durazo, he had been working from his home after testing positive for Covid-19.
“I want to welcome Rosa Icela Rodríguez, Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, she is already joining in person because she had already been working from home while recovering from an illness, from Covid.
“Fortunately It went well, we are very happy and he is already in charge of the Security and Protection secretariat”He said at his morning press conference at the National Palace.
On September 16, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, then General Coordinator of Ports and Merchant Marine of the Ministry of Communications and Transport (SCT), reported through Twitter that had tested positive for coronavirus.
Without providing many details, Rosa Icela Rodríguez indicated that the test was carried out, after a person with whom he met informed him of his contagion.
A month and a half later, on October 30, President López Obrador appointed Rosa Icela Rodríguez, then coordinator of Ports and Merchant Marine, to be in charge of the SSPC, replacing Alfonso Durazo Montaño, who resigned to aspire for Morena’s candidacy for governor of Sonora.
