PRI and PRD leaders

The unthinkable in states where they were always electoral rivals will be a reality in 2021 with the Va Por México alliance, and this union of partisan forces, say the leaders of the PRD and PRI, is “unprecedented” because it is an extraordinary measure to “rescue” the country. and get back on the path of growth.

The alliance will carry together on the ballots of at least 11 states and 177 federal districts the emblems of PRI, PAN and PRD.

It is going through Mexico, explains the PRD, it will have control methods to prevent those who arrive in San Lázaro from betraying the trust of the citizens who vote for them to take away the majority from Morena – the party that has practically put aside the dialogue with the opposition to approve the official agenda – or obey interests beyond it.

In an interview with MILENIO, the leaders of the PRD, Jesús Zambrano, and the PRI, Alejandro Moreno, defend this union of partisan forces that seeks to snatch the majority from Morena in the Chamber of Deputies.

Moreno acknowledges that there are questions about the electoral agreement with his former rivals: “it is not against them, it is an electoral alliance in favor of Mexicans, to rescue our institutions and successful programs that have been lost and are necessary, to resume the course of growth, in favor of employment, women, young people ”.

In December 2012, all the political parties came together to sign the Pact for Mexico in the Alcázar del Castillo de Chapultepec, and thus promote, from Congress, a package of structural reforms.

That caused the PRD to break with Andrés Manuel López Obrador and laid the foundations for the creation of Morena. Eight years later the political forces, with Morena now becoming the majority party in Congress, PRI, PAN and PRD, today from the opposition, come together again to try to prevent Morena from staying with the majority in San Lázaro and winning in half of the country.

The PRI and the PRD assure that the alliance, unthinkable a few years ago, today crystallizes in order to prevent the López Obrador government from ending the counterweights, and warn of the risk that the head of the Executive seeks to convert the 2021 process in a state election.

“López Obrador is wanting to create the conditions for there to be a state election, orchestrated directly by him, that is the great risk and therefore he seeks to submit to the judge on the matter, which is the Electoral Tribunal,” warns the leader of the PRD.

Hence, the President’s criticism of the opposition alliance, which he added, is a sign of concern. “The size of the President’s response is the dimension of his concern, if not, why would he spend so much time insulting us and getting unduly, cunning, irresponsible and unconstitutionally in the electoral process.”

Zambrano also said that the President “knows that without him, Morena is perfectly beatable.”

Meanwhile, the PRI says that, unlike in 2018, the President will not be on the ballot and “should not be. The government has a lot of work to do and must focus on solving the health and economic crisis we are facing, that is what the government should urge ”.

In addition, “Morena faces many internal problems and disenchantment with citizens, many people who gave them their vote in 2018 today regret it and they will not give them their trust again.”

For Moreno, the electoral results in Coahuila and Hidalgo show that “Morena is a passing party” and citizens have realized that much of what he promised “was just that, promises.”

It seeks “to rescue Mexicans who have been harmed by decisions such as the disappearance of the trusts that allowed the development of research and technology,” said the PRI.

PRI, PAN and PRD led the negative comments in the media during the first three days of the pre-campaign, according to the electoral monitoring carried out by the Faculty of Political Sciences of the UNAM.

The National Electoral Institute reported that from December 23 to 26, a total of 18 hours, 20 minutes, 13 seconds were allocated on radio and television to talk about political parties.

“The party with the most positive ratings was Morena and the ones with the most negative ratings were PAN, PRI and PRD,” the institute pointed out.

The document adds that in the analysis of the 63 news programs and 10 most important magazine programs or shows in the country, by their audience, it mentions that the party with the longest transmission time was the PAN, with 3 hours 51 minutes, 51 seconds.

Finally, the INE released the parity list delivered by the parties, once the deadline for the Electoral Tribunal had expired for them to report in which of the 15 governorships they will nominate seven women.

Morena’s coordinator in the Chamber of Deputies, Ricardo Monreal, affirmed that 2021 will be a year of challenges, including those of ending the covid-19 pandemic and defeating conservatism at the polls.

The legislator also listed among the challenges for this new year deepening the changes in the country and convincing “the good” to continue the course of regime change.

“2021 will be a year of challenges: ending the pandemic; deepen the changes in the country; convince, to the good, to continue the course of regime change; build a society free from ties and dogmas; shake off fears and hesitations, and beat conservatism at the polls, “Monreal said in a message through social networks.

The also president of the Political Coordination Board warned that the future of the country will be at stake in 2021, as Mexicans will decide between continuing the transformation process or returning to the old regime.
