Porsche is a brand with more than 70 years of history as a car manufacturer. In most countries of the world we have enjoyed their products for decades, but not all corners of the planet can say the same. This is the case in China, which since 2001 can buy the company’s models locally. To commemorate such an important event, the German brand has decided to pay tribute with a special edition, the Porsche 911 Turbo S China 20th Anniversary Edition.

Porsche 911 Turbo S China 20th Anniversary Edition: new special edition

The special edition is the work of the department Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and includes anniversary badges both inside and outside the cabin. A specific decoration with stripes and generous number 20 has also been designed within a circle printed on the doors, reminiscent of racing cars. Is available in five classic colorsincluding Gulf Orange, Star Ruby Red, Mint Green, Viola Purple and the shade worn by the unit in the photos, Oslo Blue.

The special equipment of the Anniversary series It is only offered on Porsche 911 Turbo S models for China, and is strictly limited to a cosmetic package. Buyers will not receive mechanical or dynamic upgrades, so the 3.8-liter six-cylinder biturbo boxer engine remains unchanged. Still, it offers 650 hp of power and 800 Nm of torque maximum. It is managed by an eight-speed PDK gearbox and an effective all-wheel drive system. It achieves a 0 to 100 km / h in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 330 km / h.

Porsche China has not revealed the prices of this special edition, nor if it is a limited series in number of units produced. What we do know is that it will not be the only special model that will be designed on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Porsche’s landing in the Asian country. They have already launched a Porsche Cayenne with a special treatment, and other models could arrive throughout the year.
