A man was shot dead at a gas station in Idar-Oberstein (Rhineland-Palatinate)!
The search for the gunman is currently ongoing, as a police spokesman said. A large contingent of uniformed and civilian police officers is currently looking for the perpetrator who is said to have killed the employee in the Aral gas station on the main street late on Saturday evening.
This was preceded by a verbal argument between the fugitive and the employee at around 9:20 p.m. The perpetrator is currently likely to be on foot in the city of Idar-Oberstein. The man is dressed in dark trousers and a white T-shirt. He is armed with a pistol. With a photo from a surveillance camera, the officers are now looking for the man.
According to the investigators’ findings so far, the killer had already been at the gas station an hour earlier (around 8:30 p.m.) and had left again after a brief argument. The killer is probably on foot in the city of Idar-Oberstein.
The police ask the population not to take hitchhikers anywhere in the city. Suspects should be reported to the police immediately. Do not speak to the man and do not approach him under any circumstances, but please dial the emergency number immediately. People who recognize the man are asked to contact the police immediately.
