Weißbach (Saxony) – After the horrific discovery of body parts on the B174 in August, the identity of the deceased could now be clarified: It is a missing Turk (48) from Chemnitz. And: There is already a suspect (48)! He is wanted with an international arrest warrant
It can be “assumed that the previously missing person was killed at a currently unknown time at the end of July 2021 in an apartment in Chemnitz by a fellow 48-year-old compatriot,” said a police spokesman on Wednesday.
The fugitive Turkish citizen is now being investigated for manslaughter.
According to BILD information, victims and perpetrators knew each other.
Corpse was dismembered
The 48-year-old is suspected cut up the body and deposited it in two different locations in the Ore Mountains.
The first body parts were found on August 26th on the B174 near Gornau. Problem: A combine harvester had partially destroyed tracks. Two days later, other body parts were discovered on the S232 near Gelenau, about six kilometers away.
The Turkish citizen was last seen in a restaurant on Chemnitz Hainstrasse at the end of July 2021 and has been missing since then. After he did not show up on a planned visit to Turkey and no one could reach him, his family filed a missing person report.
Now the sad certainty: The dead person is the missing person.
