This morning a new batch of vehicles arrived at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM). COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, which was received by Marcelo Ebrard, Secretary of Foreign Relations; Jorge Alcocer, Secretary of Health; and Rafael Ojeda, Secretary of the Navy.

Although the arrival of more vaccines in Mexico is important, the journalist Ciro Gómez Leyva he criticized that these were received by three secretaries of state, as if it were a feat.

“Seriously! Three secretaries of state to get some vaccinations? That could be understood when the first vaccines arrived, but today another batch of 53,000 vaccines arrives, the Chancellor, the Secretary of Health and the Secretary of the Navy.

“What is going to be presented? As a feat that was achieved. Why a feat? If it is paid with public resources that come from taxes and services paid by citizens, “the journalist declared in his newscast” In the morning “on Radio Fórmula.

Ciro Gómez Leyva compared the scene, which was broadcast on the morning of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, with a film by the filmmaker Luis Estrada.

“They are there with a military band and confetti, Secretary Ebrard, the Secretary of the Navy and the Secretary of Health receiving another plane that brings vaccines. It is not a Luis Estrada film, it is the government of President López Obrador that is going to receive the vaccines, “he added.

Also this morning, another shipment of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Monterrey, Nuevo León, which was received by Zoé Robledo, head of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS); Luis Cresencio Sandoval, Secretary of National Defense; and the secretaries are from Nuevo León and Coahuila.

The 8 thousand 755 vaccinations who arrived in Monterrey will be transferred to Coahuila, in accordance with the vaccination plan, Zoé Robledo announced upon receiving the new doses.

In addition, he announced that as of next Tuesday, January 12, “the new shipment will begin to arrive with the 453 thousand vaccinations for the rest of the states, for the first-line health personnel ”.
