Mexico City /
This morning a shipment of coronavirus vaccines arrived at the Monterrey, Nuevo León airport, however, none of the doses will remain in the entity, since all will go to Coahuila, one of the node states that will receive immunization first.
In this regard, Manuel De la O Cavazos, Secretary of Health of Nuevo León, said that they do not have information on how many doses of the vaccine against covid-19 will correspond to the entity.
“We are going to stay like the Chinese, milando no more because they arrived here, they are here in Nuevo León, and they are going to Saltillo.I hope that in a short time (vaccines) will arrive, because we have to have a fair and equitable treatment, here too it is suffering ”, said the Secretary of Health.
He advanced that, to achieve a herd immunity in Mexico, it is necessary to have at least 80 million vaccines applied among the population, for which he pointed out that this will not be achieved at this time, given the small amount of doses that arrived and will be applied in this first stage.
Meanwhile, the Federalist Alliance, to which the government of Nuevo León belongs, asked President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to detail the National Vaccination Plan and define how many vaccines each entity will have and when they will receive them.
The Mexican people will receive the vaccine dropper for the next few months or even years; therefore, total transparency is needed. What is the planning and criteria for choosing the states and the doses that correspond to them?
