On the other hand, the private sector reported that cities such as Pinamar, Villa Gesell, San Bernardo, Bariloche, Cafayate, Gualeguaychú and San Martín de los Andes had high levels of occupancy in hotels, cabins and private houses.
“After this unprecedented year, it is very good news for the sector that we have another long weekend with positive occupancy rates and high compliance with health recommendations in the main destinations in the country”said the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens.
In this sense, Lammens added: “We are optimistic but we must not relax. That is why we implemented a massive communication campaign, so that we continue to take care of ourselves.”
Before the start of summer, The Government formed the Interministerial Council for the progressive and responsible opening of tourism, seeking to guarantee a summer season that allows Argentines to move around the country, preventing a catastrophe in the tourism sector.
This body defined the implementation of Modular Health Centers, the deployment of the DetectAr plan and the presence of tourist promoters in the tourist centers, among other measures.
In parallel, the virtual platform was carried out, together with the Ministry of Public Innovation, where you can access the requirements to enter all the provinces and complete the “Summer” certificate, a record so that destinations are better prepared for receive tourists.
