Mexico registers today 11 thousand 91 new cases of COVID-19 and 700 deaths

Mexico starts this 2021 with an accumulated 126 thousand 507 deaths and one million 437 thousand 185 infections of COVID-19, according to the Health Secretary.

With these numbers, in 24 hours they add up 11 thousand 91 new positive cases and 700 deaths from coronavirus.

The national mortality rate is 8.8%, according to data published this Friday.

Mexico is the fourth country with the most deaths by COVID-19 in the world. India ranks third with 148,994 deaths; Brazil is in second with 195,411; and the United States is in first place with 347 thousand 542, according to Universidad Johns Hopkins.
