Mexico adds 122,855 deaths from Covid and one million 389 thousand infections

Mexico adds in the cut of this December 28, 122,855 deaths by Covid-19, with one million 389 thousand cases of infections confirmed coronavirus, according to authorities of the Ministry of Health.

They detailed 5,996 new infections in the last 24 hours, to reach a total of 1,389,430 confirmed cases. Also, on the last day there were 429 new deaths and a total of 122,855 in the country.

So far they have been applied 9,579 vaccines against Covid-19 in the country, it was added at a press conference in the National Palace.

Regarding hospital capacity, it was reported that nationwide there is 48% occupancy. Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Baja California, Hidalgo, Guanajuato and Nuevo León, Sonora and Quintana Roo are the states with the highest occupation.

For now there is an availability of 15,442 hospital beds, of the 29,826 in the country.

In three days 9,579 vaccines apply

During the first three days of vaccination against Covid-19, a total of 9,579 health workers have been inoculated.

The federal government’s vaccination plan began on December 24, when doses were applied at the General Hospital of Mexico in the capital of the country, as well as military headquarters in the capital Querétaro and Toluca, State of Mexico.

Subsequently, vaccines were applied yesterday and today, December 27 and 28, in five military headquarters in the capital and in four municipalities of Coahuila.

At a press conference at the National Palace, Ruy López Ridaura, general director of the National Center for Preventive Programs and Disease Control, stressed that the vaccination process in Coahuila also began today.
