Mercedes-Benz showed off the new 2022 AMG GLC 63 S, combining the highest available GLC performance with one of Mercedes’ best-selling models, the versatile GLC SUV.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S SUV is powered by the powerful handcrafted AMG 4.0L eight-cylinder twin-turbo engine, with 503 hp and 516 lb.-ft. of torque.
Previously, this higher-powered AMG GLC engine was reserved exclusively for the GLC Coupé body style.
Now, Mercedes-Benz will offer this new variant to meet the demand of our customers who yearn for the best in AMG Driving Performance.
The newly redesigned GLC SUV sets the benchmark for midsize luxury SUVs in handling, handling, safety technology, comfort and user interface.
Maximum driving performance is ensured by the adapted damping air suspension, the all-wheel drive with fully variable torque distribution and the high-performance brake system.
When launched in Europe in 2018, the GLC 63 S SUV posted an officially measured and notarized lap time of 7.49.369 on the Nürburgring’s North Loop, claiming the title of fastest SUV on the track at the time.
To this day, it remains one of the fastest SUVs at the Nürburgring, proving that the GLC 63 S is among the best in its segment in terms of vehicle dynamics and performance.
Standard feature highlights for the 2022 AMG GLC 63 S include:

The main advantages of this design are the compact construction of the engine and the optimal response. A highly qualified technician assembles each GLC 63 S engine in Affalterbach according to the “one man, one engine” principle.
The distinctive and powerful sound of the GLC 63 S is courtesy of the AMG Performance exhaust system with adjustable fin technology. These are map-controlled to operate automatically based on the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving program, power dictated by the driver and engine speed.
