Luca Martínez Dupuy becomes the youngest Mexican scorer in an Argentine classic

Luca Martínez Dupuy scored in Rosario Central’s 3-0 victory against Newell’s Old Boys

Forward Luca Martínez Dupuy became the first Mexican in history to score in the Rosario Central game between Rosario Central and Newell’s Old Boys, which disputed from 1905 to the present day, and the youngest young man with that nationality to score in one of the Argentine classics.

So far in the Argentine tournament, Luca Martínez Dupuy, Born in San Luis Potosí, of Argentine parents and 19 years old, has played eight matches out of twelve possible, four as a starter and the same number from the bench, with three goals in his personal account

It is worth mentioning that the new attacker made his professional debut on the first day of the Professional League Cup, in November 2020, and was summoned to the Mexican Under-20 National Team in the same month.

At the collective level, Rosario Central is in fifth place in Group A with 18 points, below River Plate and the qualifying zone due to goal difference.
