Lópéz-Gatell traveled to Argentina to review experience with the ‘Sputnik V’ vaccine: AMLO

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador commented this Thursday that the Undersecretary of Health, Hugo Lopez-Gatell, I travel to Argentina to analyze the experience there with the application of the COVID-19 vaccine.

“It’s true about the trip that Dr. Hugo López-Gatell made to Argentina (…) You will see about the experience of the vaccine that is being applied in Argentina, to see the protocols, to see the technical, scientific elements, reactions in the application, everything that can be obtained from information to see if this vaccine can also be acquired, “he said.

The federal president added that López-Gatell will be received by Argentine President Alberto Fernández.

On December 23, Argentina became the first country in the world, outside of what was previously known as the Soviet Union, to approve the Russian COVID-19 vaccine called ‘Sputnik V’.

The first batch of ‘Sputnik V’ arrived in Argentina on December 24.

On December 22, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard reported that the Russian vaccine submitted its request for authorization to Cofepris to start testing in Mexico from December 9, but the analysis continues.
