The federal undersecretary for Prevention and Promotion of Health, Hugo López-Gatell Ramírez, was captured this Sunday in a restaurant on Zipolite Beach, in San Pedro Pochutla, on the Oaxaca Coast.
The photographs that began to spread through social networks this January 3 show the Health official, spokesman for the federal government of the Covid-19 emergency, accompanied by a woman in a restaurant of the El Alquimista hotel, in Zipolite, the only nudist beach from the country.
The journalist from the Coast, Omar Gasga, shared the images in which the federal official is seen having a talk with a young woman, without a mask, in this tourist destination of Pochutla.

López-Gatell Ramírez arrived on the Oaxacan coast on December 31, 2020, on a trip in which he was also photographed from Mexico City bound for the Huatulco airport to spend the end of the year.
These images also sparked controversy because the Undersecretary of Health did not wear a mask in the correct way, covering his mouth and nose, despite the fact that he was holding a phone call at the time; also for making the trip in the middle of the pandemic, when the recommendation to stay at home has been reiterated in the face of the increase in infections.
In the evening lectures, López-Gatell himself has insisted on the use of the mask in places where appropriate physical distancing is not possible, and staying at home.
Until this Sunday, Covid-19 infections in Mexico have accumulated to a total of one million 631 thousand 132 cases since the start of the pandemic in the country.
