“We did everything possible so that the teacher Ignacio Ambriz will continue in the team for the next few years. After several months of negotiation, we did not reach an agreement ”, reported the emerald club, on its social networks.
Ambriz, after being champion with the Lion, He confessed that his ambition is to lead in the football of the Old Continent and that is why he has asked for help to find an opportunity in Europe. For their part, the emeralds sought for the former coach of América and Chivas to continue at the helm of their team, but they were unsuccessful.
“Working with Nacho we had great successes and unforgettable campaigns that are part of the history of Club León. However, today we have a Bicampeonato in dispute for which we will fight until the end; making our history bigger, in which the coach is fundamental ”, the statement read.
At the last press conference, Ambriz acknowledged that his ambition was to win a Bicampeonato with León, after putting the Panzas Verdes back in Liguilla positions and continuing in the fight to repeat the title they won at Guard1anes 2020.
