IMPI renews the “El Chapo” brand for 10 years as the daughter of the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel

The Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (MAID) renewed the rights to the trademark for 10 more years “El Chapo”, to Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar, daughter of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel to market leather products, toys, but also Christmas decorations.

In files 1121747, 1219281 and 1205098, copies of which he has THE UNIVERSAL, it is detailed that on August 18, 2020, the agency in charge of delivering trademarks in Mexico received a request to renew the trademark of Guzmán Loera’s nickname, to be used in leather products, animal skins, suitcases, umbrellas, umbrellas, walking sticks, among others.

Also for use in games and toys, gymnastics and sports supplies, as well as Christmas tree decorations, advertising and office work.

Four months later, on December 14, the Institute responded and notified Guzmán Salazar the renewal of the brand, so it will be until 2030 that you have the rights over these and can market it in your company called Don Archi Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable, founded on December 20, 2018, by deed 13424 before the public notary number 46 of Guadalajara.

“Don Archi Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable” was named in honor of the boss’s middle name, since his full name is Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera.
