Health alerts on fraud with Pfizer vaccine against COVID

The federal Ministry of Health warned about two forms of fraud with the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine, Through false vaccination brigades against COVID-19 and a web page to order vaccines, the first incident was detected by the Secretary of Health of Quintana Roo.

Hugo López-Gatell, Undersecretary of Health reported that the Federal Commission for the Protection against Sanitary Risks (COFEPRIS) was notified about a possible falsification of personnel who appeared in Quintana Roo as vaccination brigades.

The federal official explained that so far there are no vaccination brigades for any vaccine against COVID-19.

“They appeared to make house-to-house visits saying that they came to collect data to prepare the vaccination, it is not the case, that the entire population knows that there should not be personnel who identify with Pfizer or personnel from vaccination companies.”

The second fraud deals with the falsification of a Webpage supposedly from the Pfizer company, which shows a telephone number for place orders for anti COVID vaccines. Pfizer Mexico promptly alerted COFEPRIS about this potential fraud.

López-Gatell Ramírez reminded Mexicans that there are no vaccine orders in Mexico, that there is no authorization for the sale of vaccineSo far, and if someone tries to sell COVID vaccine, they are committing fraud.
