BERLIN, Apr 8 (Reuters) – Germany’s vaccine regulator said on Thursday it would maintain its guidance to limit the use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine to those over 60.

On Wednesday, the European Union’s drug regulatory body left it up to each country to decide how to deal with the risk of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine causing blood clots.

The Paul Ehrlich Institute said in a statement that its recommendation is based on intensive analysis of the current data state, as well as the current state of the pandemic.
