The Mexico City (CDMX) is in the red color of the epidemiological traffic light due to the pandemic of coronavirus COVID-19; unfortunately, this does not stop the intention of some people to celebrate parties in the middle of a health emergency.

Such was the case of mayors such as Iztapalapa and Gustavo A. Madero (GAM) , which reported the highest number of complaints for holding mass gatherings during the New Year.

It should be noted that these demarcations are also the ones that accumulate the highest number of deaths derived from the coronavirus COVID-19 in the capital of the Mexican Republic.

Although the Head of Government of the CDMX, Claudia Sheinbaum, has called on the public to avoid holding parties, some residents of the capital decided to ignore it and met without complying with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

According to official reports, Iztapalapa and GAM they registered approximately 30 complaints about the celebration of celebrations.

According to the Capital Open Data Portal, the first mayor’s office accumulates 4,678 deaths due to coronavirus COVID-19, while the second has a thousand 127 deaths.

On January 1, the sites with the most mass meetings in the CDMX They were San Francisco Tlaltenco, in Tláhuac; San Bartolo Ameyalco, in Álvaro Obregón; Aqueduct of Guadalupe and Constitution of the Republic, in GAM and Barrio Norte, in Álvaro Obregón.

Until yesterday, Mexico registered 1 million 437 thousand 185 accumulated cases of the new disease since the beginning of the pandemic; unfortunately there are also 126 thousand 507 deaths.

It is not a time for parties or meetings.

As we comply, we will decrease the contagion curve and hospitalizations.

Please make this effort.
It is for the health of everyone.
