Paris, Apr 3 (EFE) .- France registered this Saturday 187 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic in March to 96,493.

The Public Health Agency did not provide the daily balance of new infections because due to a problem in the counting of the results, it has not been able to take into account some 400,000 tests, so the figure it had was incomplete.

Until Friday, the country accumulated 4.74 million positives, of which 46,677 were added in the previous 24 hours.

In the last seven days there have been 13,489 hospitalizations for covid-19 and 3,074 admissions to intensive care units in France.

In addition, as added in another statement by the General Directorate of Health, since the start of the vaccination campaign at the end of December, 9.2 million people have received at least one dose and 3.1 million already have both.

The Government this week extended the restrictions to fight the epidemic and from this Saturday at seven in the afternoon, the time of the usual start of the curfew, a light confinement for four weeks is extended to the entire country, which among other measures closes non-essential businesses and restricts travel between regions.
