After a confrontation and shooting between police and residents of Topilejo, in Tlalpan, 19 people were detained by agents of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) yesterday afternoon.
According to a preliminary report released last night by the agency, the events occurred when an emergency report was received on Cruz Blanca Avenue, Pueblo San Miguel Topilejo neighborhood.
Upon arrival, the police found a man with abdominal injuries, for which they immediately requested medical support.
When the elements tried to leave the place with people arrested for the fact, the villagers attacked them.
Due to the moments of tension, almost a hundred agents and armored vehicles were deployed in which the detainees were transferred, most of them are minors.
The injured was transferred to a hospital where was reported as serious.
Villagers’ versions indicate that the capture of a presumed drug dealer led to the confrontation, since the neighbors refused to allow him to be detained.
