UNITED STATES – The five-time world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced that it will be on June 6 at the Hard Rock Stadium from Miami, Florida, the day he will face the youtuber Logan Paul, after some postponements suffered by the event originally scheduled for the month of February and with a pay-per-view distribution.

Mayweather He made the announcement through his social networks, where he also specified that the distribution of the event will be through the Showtime and Fanmio signal. Until a few weeks ago, the people in charge of the transmission of it was going to be the Fanmio platform, but now with Showtime, Mayweather returns to what was his home during the last part of his career.

Floyd, 44, left a professional mark of 50 wins, no losses and 27 wins via knockout. He has not fought as a professional since August 2017. He won titles in the Super Featherweight, Lightweight, Superlight, Welterweight and Superwelterweight divisions, being one of the few fighters to establish himself as a five-time world champion in boxing history.

Logan, 26, is a successful youtuber who made his professional boxing debut only in November 2019, falling against fellow youtuber KSI. Logan’s brother, also youtuber Jake Paul, is the one who has had the most success in professional boxing, now with a 3-0 record and 3 knockouts, without having faced a professional boxer so far.

“Logan Paul and I are going to fight in the Hard Rock Stadium. Mayweather Promotions, Fanmio and Showtime will team up to give you an epic event. Tickets go on sale the following week, ”Mayweather wrote on Instagram.

It is assumed that June 5, Teofimo Lopez is going to fight George Kambosos through Triller’s signal on American soil, and they had said that Miami was going to host that match for lightweight supremacy.

One of the issues that have not been clarified regarding this meeting, is the weight they will be at and under what conditions, mainly the weight, since Logan Paul weighed 199 pounds for his fight with KSI, and Mayweather never fought as a professional above of 154 lbs.
