FIRST 1-G LOCAL! – Knallhart-host only lets in vaccinated people

The largest folk festival in the world – the Oktoberfest in Munich – has been canceled: due to corona. In Berlin, on the other hand, Oktoberfest lovers are already in the starting blocks. Gastronomer Josef Laggner (55) is also playing again in the “Fischerhütte am Schlachtensee”. But not for everyone: “We only allow people who have been vaccinated. I play it safe there. “

In order to reduce the risk of infection to an absolute minimum, he voluntarily introduced our own 1-G rule for the traditional beer sause (September 24th – end of October).

Only last week, the Berlin Senate decided on a so-called 2-G rule (vaccinated or recovered) to restrict access to dance events. There is then no longer any mask requirement.

Josef Laggner doesn’t go far enough. He says: “I am responsible for my guests. The Oktoberfest is fun. There is singing, swaying, standing on the benches. ”And further:“ I am not interested in excluding guests. But with the 2-G rule, I would have to check when someone who has recovered was infected. And then I should assess whether the immune defense against the virus is still sufficient. I can and I don’t want to. I’m not a doctor, I’m a restaurateur. “

His colleagues from other federal states face similar problems. First, Hamburg had introduced a voluntary 2-G rule for its restaurateurs and event organizers, in which, among other things, distance rules do not apply to guests. Now Brandenburg, Baden-Württemberg and Hesse also want to follow suit. The state of Rhineland-Palatinate, on the other hand, is planning a “2-G-Plus” rule with restrictions for unvaccinated people.

And Bavaria adheres to the 3-G rule (vaccinated, recovered or tested). Nevertheless, Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) considers the 2-G rule to be “theoretically possible and not forbidden, but not proposed by the state” for Bavaria.

That fits Josef Laggner well into the concept: “Politicians no longer need it. There’s a vaccine. And with that we can all have our freedom, our fun and our celebrations back. “
