Fire consumes the Jungle Market and affects several businesses (VIDEO)

Around a thousand people were evicted and 30 businesses were affected by a fire that consumed the Jungle Market, in the coastal area of Tulum, in Quintana Roo, on Wednesday night.

He Jungle Market, which is popular with tourists for selling clothes and accessories, is located at kilometer 6.5 of the highway Tulum-Boca Paila.

Around 10 at night, neighbors and volunteers alerted the authorities about the fire, which spread quickly, because the place was built with materials from the area, such as wood and palm.

After two hours of work, firefighters, Civil Protection personnel, as well as elements of the National Guard managed to quell the fire.

While emergency services were working, circulation in the area was closed and thousands of people were evicted.
