Along with the SUV fever, the pick-up segment also is widely accepted by the publicJust look at the good reception that the impressive RAM 1500 TRX had, something that Stellantis is very clear about and makes it noticeable with its most recent launch, the mid-life update for Fiat Toro 2022.
First of all, we must clarify that at the moment we are facing an exclusive marketing product for the South American market, without ruling out its possible arrival in Mexican territory, something that would enrich the brand’s offer within the segment. Fiat Toro would have a fair space between Ram 700 and 1500, if it came under the American signature and not the Italian one, which would be to some extent more favorable.
Let’s talk about the aesthetic proposal, Fiat Toro sports a robust appearance and at the same time stylized in some details, the incorporation of the current logo of the Italian firm in considerable dimensions, suits it favorably. Added to this is the set of front headlights with that elongated design trend that many are adopting, without overlooking the steel gray details to provide greater contrast.
The rear part opts for a simpler aesthetic and the wheels can vary between 16 “and 18” depending on the version, with a total of five available.
The interior is definitely where this update stands out the most, highlighting two colorful screens, a 7 ”for the fully digital instrument cluster and another one more than 10.1 ”vertical position for the infotainment center, the latter being the most striking part of the cabin.
The motorization options can range from 1.3 liter turbocharged, generating 185 hp and 200 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, up to a diesel block with 175 hp, 258 lb.-ft. of torque, nine-speed gearbox and four-wheel drive.
We will be pending on the decision of the brand to include this vehicle in our country. Would you like to see it here?
