President Alberto Fernández proposed to start vaccinating against the coronavirus simultaneously throughout the country as of December 29.
During the virtual meeting that he held this Saturday with the governors, Fernández asked that it be done “first thing” on Tuesday to begin immunizing Argentines as soon as possible.
The 300,000 doses that arrived from Moscow in the Airbus 330 are still in a warehouse in Avellaneda, refrigerated at -18 degrees, waiting for the distribution of the doses to the different parts of the country to begin.
Santa Fe will receive 24,100; the City, 23100, Córdoba, 21,900; Tucumán, 11,500; Mendoza, 11,100; Entre Ríos, 10,100; Jump, 8300; Chaco, 7700; Corrientes, 6700; Santiago del Estero, 5900; Missions, 5200; San Juan, 4700; Jujuy, 4600; Rio Negro, 4400; Neuquén, 3600; Formosa, 3400; St. Louis, 3300; Chubut, 3000; Catamarca, 2800; La Rioja, 2600; Santa Cruz, 2400; La Pampa, 2300 and Tierra del Fuego, 1300. And there will be a reserve of 3000 doses.
In the virtual meeting with the governors, Fernández was accompanied by the Ministers of the Interior, Eduardo de Pedro, and of Health, Ginés González García, the Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti and the Secretary General of the Presidency, Julio Vitobello.
