The special agent in charge of the San Juan Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Rafael Riviere Vázquez, announced on Friday the arrest of Miguel Cancel Marrero.
According to the FBI report, Cancel Marrero was charged with a complaint for violations of Title 18, United States Code, United States Code, Sections 1951 (Interference with trade through threats or violence) and 924 (c) (Use of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime) for events that occurred in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico on January 14, 2021.
The subject was arrested by special agents of the Violent Crimes Task Force of the San Juan Office of the FBI. The arrest took place on April 1, 2021.
The prosecution of this case is in charge of federal prosecutors Jonathan Gottfried and Luis Valentin of the Violent Crimes Section and is being investigated by the San Juan Office of the FBI.
