The ‘machín’ Álvarez is very close to being champion in the Netherlands
The midfielder of Ajax, Edson Álvarez, was applauded by the fans of the team in which Johan Cruyff played, after the Mexican looked down one of the corridors of the Amsterdam Arena.

Álvarez, who is old enough to play the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, has shone in recent weeks with Ajax, the player has been used on some occasions as a defender and on others as a midfielder, but he has performed regularly.
Some newspapers in that country assure that Edson Álvarez is one of the stars of Ajax, which leads the Dutch League, with a 12-point advantage over his closest pursuer, PSV Eindhoven, where Erick Gutiérrez, also a Mexican national, also plays.
Edson Álvarez, in the current season, has started 16 games and participated in 22 commitments, in addition to scoring two goals, while in the Europa League he has started six games, although Ajax was eliminated in the quarterfinal stage by Roma.
