MEXICO CITY

For this weekend the mayors Álvaro Obregón, Azcapotzalco, Benito Juárez, Coyoacán, Cuajimalpa de Morelos, Cuauhtémoc, Milpa Alta and Venustiano Carranza will have Dry Law.

The provision came into effect from this Friday at 6:00 p.m. and until next Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

This agreement reached between the authorities of the capital government and the 16 municipalities, seeks to inhibit mass meetings and concentrations to mitigate the spread of Convid-19.

The suspension of activities applies to establishments related to the sale of alcoholic beverages such as wineries, grocery stores, supermarkets licensed for the sale of wines and spirits, self-service stores, department stores.

In addition to those that are temporarily installed and in any other similar, in which alcoholic beverages of any graduation are sold, including the home service in which they are sold or given as gifts alcoholic beverages for human consumption.

The consumption of alcoholic beverages in glass with food (not snacks) within commercial establishments with restaurant business is exempted from the previous suspension. The sale in closed container to consume outside of these should be understood as suspended.

These provisions were published in the Official Gazette of Mexico City and it mentions that any person who violates this Agreement will be referred without delay to the corresponding Civic Court for the imposition of the corresponding sanction in law, in accordance with the provisions provided in the Law of Commercial Establishments, the Law of Civic Culture, the Law of Administrative Verification and other legal provisions in force in the capital of the country.
