Despite difficulties: Tesla breaks previous delivery record

Tesla has a new record quarter to report. Interestingly, not a single Model S or Model X was built at the parent plant in Fremont in the first quarter of 2021 because a refresh is pending – nevertheless, Tesla delivered more cars than ever before.

The latest delivery and production results for Q1 / 2021 from Tesla exceed the forecasts of the electric car pioneer. According to the latest figures released by the automaker, a record number of deliveries has been achieved for a first quarter, but that’s far from all. Traditionally, automakers typically see a seasonal decline in sales in the first quarter.

Tesla reported a number of production problems, so that many experts had not expected another record quarter.
