Despite covid-19, they perform mega-dances in Alvarado, Veracruz

Veracruz /

Regardless of the coronavirus, and as has been a tradition for decades, the streets of the city of Alvarado, Veracruz, seemed like rivers of people dancing and drinking alcoholic beverages, without wearing masks, let alone keeping a healthy distance.

Thousands of people, both Alvaradeños and relatives and tourists who came from other parts of the country, crowded the boulevard with dancing.

And near there, the traditional dance was also performed on Rayón Street, where even pyrotechnic fires were lit.

Alvarado is a municipality conurbation with Veracruz and Boca del Río, a metropolitan area that concentrates the largest number of patients and deaths from covid-19 in the Veracruzana entity.
