Deaths from COVID in Mexico reach 121 thousand 837; infections reach 1 million 372 thousand 243

The Ministry of Health reported this Friday that deaths from COVID-19 in Mexico reached 121,837, 665 more than the deaths reported a day before.

As for infections, the federal agency reported 1 million 372 thousand 243, which in a single day added 9 thousand 679 infections of SARS-CoV-2, a virus that causes the disease COVID-19.

These figures mark the arrival of Christmas in a context of pandemic. The world celebrates in completely different ways due to the lockdown measures returning for second waves of COVID.

On the other hand, since this Friday the state of Guanajuato returned to the red light of epidemic risk for COVID-19, this due to the increase in infections and hospitalizations. The measure will last until January 10.

In addition to Guanajuato, Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Morelos and Baja California are on red lights.
