He President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, met with the Head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaum, and members of the health sector to evaluate the bed extension and the medical staff in the Mexico City to attend the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Twitter, the president indicated that there was also talk of the expansion of equipment and medical personnel for other entities, as well as the second delivery of vaccines against Covid-19.
“We are evaluating the plan to expand beds, equipment and doctors for the city and other entities, as well as the second delivery of vaccines and application from tomorrow to the medical personnel who attend Covid,” he wrote on the social network.
In that same message, President López Obrador said that the second installment of Pfizer vaccines and informed that the second batch will be from this Sunday to the medical personnel who attend Covid-19.
This Saturday, a second batch with 42,900 doses of vaccines against Covid-19, developed by the pharmaceutical duo Pfizer / BioNTech, arrived in the country.
The cargo arrived on a plane from Belgium that was expected on the runway by executives of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), the Mexican Foreign Ministry and the Navy.
