While her fiancé is still in hiding and being wanted by the police, the result of the coroner is now clear: Gabby Petito was strangled!
“The cause of death is strangulation,” said Brent Blue, medical examiner for Teton County, Wyoming, at a news conference Tuesday. What’s more, Petito’s body lay in the wild for three to four weeks before it was found in mid-September.
▶︎ The 22-year-old had set off on a road trip in the United States with her fiancé Brian Laundrie. But the two quarreled so hard on August 12th that they got into a police check and were separated for one night. Witnesses called the police because they wanted to see Laundrie beat his partner in an argument. The officers advanced and met a visibly dissolved Gabby Petito.
Brian Laundrie returned to his parents’ home alone on September 1st, while their parents reported YOU missing ten days later. Gabby’s body was found on September 19. Her fiancé is still under high suspicion of murder.
