Mexico closes the year with more than 125 thousand deaths from covid-19

As of December 31, 2020, the number of deaths from covid-19 in Mexico exceeded 125 thousand deaths, registering 125 thousand 807 this Thursday, according to figures from the Ministry of Health.

In addition, there is a record of one million 426 thousand 094 total cases of covid-19.

The Ministry of Health indicated that Mexico City and the State of Mexico are the entities that register the highest number of deaths from this disease, followed by Veracucruz, Jalisco and Puebla.

Only in Mexico City there is a record of 21 thousand 676 deaths from this disease, which represents 17.2 percent of the total deaths from covid-19 nationwide.

The state of Baja California Sur has the lowest mortality from covid-19, registering 768 deaths from this disease until Thursday, December 31.
