The province’s Ministry of Health issued this Friday the weekly report regarding positive cases of coronavirus, the deceased, the recovered and the occupation of beds in intensive care. This delivery includes data collected from the week of December 25 to 31, 2020. This Friday, January 1 there will be no daily case report.
The first data that emerged since the pandemic began in Mendoza are until last night at 9:50 p.m.: 57,496 confirmed, 44,593 recovered and 1,250 deceased. The positive is that the occupancy of ICU beds in Greater Mendoza went from 45.91% to 36.31%.
As for the number of cases of covid-19 in the week of December 25 to 31, 2020, at 9:10 p.m., it is 622 confirmed, 2,780 recovered, 7 deceased and 5 deceased cases reported in SISA this week (corresponds to deceased persons with previous dates).
Contagions according to age group
From the official data it also appears that in the age group from 15 to 59 years, it is where more infections occur and also where the highest percentage of recovery occurs. It continues to be maintained in 80.3% of those infected.
The youngest band continues to be the age group that registers the most infections. In general, this sector transits the disease with mild symptoms. The average age of the recovered is 42 years, the deceased 72 years and the confirmed 42 years.

When observing the percentage of deaths according to the age group, Mendoza has a Mortality of 659.80 per million inhabitants and a Fatality of 2.17% for the total of those confirmed by COVID-19.

Likewise, the age group most vulnerable to the disease continues to be the elderly. 76.6% of the deceased are between 60 and 89 years old, and persons over 90 years of age represent 6.9%.
Regarding the occupational factor of the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) COVID-19 beds, Greater Mendoza is 37.11% and 36.31% in the entire Mendoza territory.
