Coronavirus in Argentina | Infections continue to rise: 13,835 new cases and 146 deaths were reported in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health reported this Thursday 13,835 new cases of coronavirus and 146 deaths in 24 hours in Argentina. In a new evening report, it was detailed that those infected throughout the country are 1,690,006, and the fatal victims, 44,122. Meanwhile, 1,484,794 patients have been discharged.

According to government data, of the 146 fatalities, 88 are men and 58 women. In addition, it was reported that in the last 24 hours, 49,116 coronavirus tests were carried out. In this way, the diagnostic tests carried out since the beginning of the outbreak amount to 5,099,516, which is equivalent to 112,381 samples per million inhabitants.

In total, they met 5,319 new cases in the Buenos Aires province; 1556 in the City of Buenos Aires; 1446 in Santa Fe; 956 in Córdoba; 592 in Neuquén; 587 in Entre Ríos; 490 in Chubut; 461 in Santa Cruz; 457 in Río Negro; 412 in La Pampa; 318 in Chaco; 273 in Tucumán; 210 in Corrientes; 178 in Mendoza; 167 in Santiago del Estero; 142 in San Juan; 74 in Tierra del Fuego; 69 in Salta; 49 in San Luis; 29 in Catamarca; 21 in La Rioja; 15 in Jujuy; nine in Missions; and five in Formosa.

So, the Buenos Aires territory is the area with the highest number of infected (709,333 total), followed by Santa Fe (183,291) and the capital of the country (181,989).

Finally, the Government reported that they are 3559 the patients with COVID-19 hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU). For its part, the occupancy of adult ICU beds nationwide is 54.7%, while in the AMBA the figure rises to 59.6%.
