The Ministry of Health reported this Sunday 5,884 new cases of coronavirus in Argentina, of which half were registered in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires (AMBA). The evening report also confirmed 107 deaths from the disease in the last 24 hours. In this way, those infected throughout the country are 1,640,718, and the fatal victims, 43,482. Meanwhile, there are 1,452,960 patients discharged.

The fatal victims son 39 men residing in the province of Buenos Aires; five in Santa Fe and La Rioja; four in Córdoba and Santa Cruz; three in Río Negro; two in the City of Buenos Aires; and one in Chaco, Mendoza and Neuquén.

So, the Buenos Aires territory is the area with the highest number of infected (690,383 total), followed by Santa Fe (177,811) and the capital of the country (176,495).

Finally, the Government reported that they are 3433 the patients with COVID-19 hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU). For its part, the occupation of adult ICU beds at the national level is 53%, while in the AMBA the figure rises to 56.8%.
